After years of questioning her sanity, Kat Delancey reluctantly returns to the old family manor as its legal owner hoping desperately to silence the doubts in her mind and leave the home’s tragic past behind her once and for all. But it turns out to be harder than she expected, and not just because of the estranged step-family waiting for her—Because maybe Kat’s mind was never playing tricks on her after all, and maybe the manor harbors a far more malevolent presence than she ever dreamed...

The Bloodline eBook C S Feldman

This book scared me half to death...and I enjoyed every second of it! The sense of dread just keeps building until you are unable to stand it. Then the ending is so visual it's like you are watching a movie from behind your fingers. This needs to be a movie!! I am very impressed with the author. The suspense never lets up, the characters ring true, and the house itself is the real star of the show. If you enjoy suspense, horror or mysteries read this book! You won't regret it. (Until you turn your light out.)

The Bloodline eBook C S Feldman Reviews

The next "The Amityville Horror" in the making... when all those creaks and drafts of old houses are more than meets the eye. Kat is out to put the horrors of the house behind her, but first she has to prove she's not crazy. Plenty of action and suspense. Characters and plot were engaging.
I give it 4 1/2 stars.
The book starts out so slow to the point of being boring. Not at all scary or creepy. But, and this sounds crazy; as I was reading it left me with some weird feelings and some fear. ( Don't know) Felt strange?
Keep reading this book because at the end, it is pretty creepy. A very good and different horror story. C.S. Feldman is on my favorite list.
Really enjoyed this storyline. The characters were so real and believeable. I was into the last chapter and really into the story when my television came on in the room and don't know why!! I told my husband that we had a ghost too !! Will look for more books by this author.
This was a well-written story, not a vampire story in case the title makes you think of vampires. It's a slow build but it has a number of creepy moments that come across a lot better than in most stories.

The emotions involved and the way the story is told makes this a much better horror story than most.
This book kept me on the edge of my seat. Without spoiling the story, I would just like to say the writing and character building were excellent and the story itself intriguing. The twist at the end was satisfying and I love that it wasn't a "trilogy" where you had to stop in the middle of the excitement and wait for the second book to come out to find out the ending...well done.
So...finishing this up on Mother's Day morning probably wasn't the best idea. Hubby is trying to hand me a card and I'm all "There is exactly nine minutes left in this book! What. Do. You. Want?" The closer it got to the end, the more I wanted the rest of the world to fade away and leave me in peace. Okay, peace wouldn't be the right word either. Because my heart was racing, my palms were sweaty and I may have been swearing to "get the hell out of the house, already!"
Tense moments. Heartbreakingly awkward family interaction. I ached for Kat. I ached for Emily. I can't even imagine what it was like for Kat to deal with everything, from her childhood on. Yes, I say that like she's a real person. Because she certainly felt real to me. She came straight off the page and played through my head like my own, personal version of Netflix. This book would make an AMAZING gothic horror film. Are you listening, Hollywood?
Buy this book. Read it. Love it. You won't be sorry.
When I voted to have this book included as a title, it was because I was intrigued by the main character, Kat. I am not one to read ghost stories. But the more I read, the deeper I was caught up in the story.
This is not a typical haunted house tale; there is no attacking creature, blood-curdling cries or words written on a mirror. There is the cold chill, the feeling of "something wrong," and disbelief. But the dynamics of the characters (especially between Grace /Kat and Michael/Kat) prevented it from being cliche. I was especially captured by the climax with its discovery (no spoilers here!).
While parts of the story did read as "formula fiction," the majority of the story was fresh enough to keep me interested and intriguing enough to keep me reading past my bedtime.
This book scared me half to death...and I enjoyed every second of it! The sense of dread just keeps building until you are unable to stand it. Then the ending is so visual it's like you are watching a movie from behind your fingers. This needs to be a movie!! I am very impressed with the author.
